The Tampa Pro- Best Trick Finals 09 went down last weekend with out a hitch. Skateboarders and fans alike, from all parts of the globe swarmed on Tampa to witness the elegant and high flying trickery brought forth by some of the finest professional athletes in the world. Noteworthy performances were put down by The Lutzka, Tory Pudds, and even England's favorite son, Ian Deacon. But as the dust settled, one true champion emerged from them all. Houston's own Chris Gentry, put together a memorable performance with his Dont Mess with Texas swagger . Having not been in any finals since Soul Bowl 05 in Huntington Beach, he thrashed the competition and left destruction in his path, annihalating the rest of the field with his heavy hitting trick selections. Peep the highlights.Friday, March 27, 2009

Great Moments in Baseball History
Dock Ellis Says He Pitched 1970 No-Hitter Under The Influence of LSDLos Angeles, April 8, 1984- Former Pittsburgh Pirates' pitcher Dock Ellis says he was under the influence of LSD when he pitched a 1970 no-hitter against the San Diego Padres.
Ellis, now co-ordinator of an anti drug program in Los Angeles, said he didn't know until six hours before his June 12, 1970 no hitter that he was going to pitch.
"I was in Los Angeles, and the team was playing in San Diego , but I didn't know it. I had taken LSD..... I thought it was an off-day, that's how come I had it in me. I took the LSD at noon. At 1pm, his girlfriend and trip partner looked at the paper and said, "Dock, you're pitching today!"
"That's when it was $9.50 to fly to San Diego. She got me to the airport at 3:30. I got there at 4:30, and the game started at 6:05pm. It was a twi-night doubleheader.
I can only remember bits and pieces of the game. I was psyched. I had a feeling of euphoria.
I was zeroed in on the (catcher's) glove, but I didn't hit the glove too much. I remember hitting a couple of batters and the bases were loaded two or three times.
The ball was small sometimes, the ball was large sometimes, sometimes I saw the catcher, sometimes I didn't. Sometimes I tried to stare the hitter down and throw while I was looking at him. I chewed my gum until it turned to powder. They say I had about three to four fielding chances. I remember diving out of the way of a ball I thought was a line drive. I jumped, but the ball wasn't hit hard and never reached me."
The Pirates won the game, 2-0, although Ellis walked eight batters. It was the highpoint in the baseball career of one of the finer pitchers of his time, and arguably, one of the greatest achievements in the history of sports.

His new trailer is out for the Element shoes video featuring fellow LB family members Chad TimTim and Darrell Stanton. Even though his new video project "Sole" is not his best work to date, that title goes to the Listen Viajeros Locos video, its still worth a peep. Check out the trailer HERE. On our recent trip to Shenzhen, China, Baked Ty kept a photographic journal of his favorite Chinese people he came across throughout the trip. I know this may seem a little racist to the stupid and overly sensitive.....but some of Ty's and Kenny Bloggins best friends are Chinese, so fuck you. Without further ado, Ty's top 10 Chinese people.Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Chinese New Year in Shenzhen
Was in Shenzhen, China for Chinese New Years and observed two main constants about this Chinese holiday. The first is, that you can publicly barf in the street and people could care less, and the 2nd is, that Chinese New Years is just an excuse to blow shit up with fireworks for like 5 days straight. Chinos are nuts. A little sample of the festivities.
